Meeting minutes

Preliminary

Midea group from China as an observer for TPAC vF2F

approved

Minutes

Sep-22

McCool: I would like to get the schedule sorted out for F2F

Quick Updates

McCool: any updates on the japanese cg

Mizushima: We will have activities in October

McCool: There is a slot in F2F

McCool: we are in contact with netzo and takenaka corporation for participation in the OpenDay

Schedule of TPAC WoT Meetings

Lagally: Conexxus presented their agenda for the F2F yesterday

<kaz> Sep-28 Use Case call minutes

Lagally: conexxus can be 10-20 minutes. they said 10

McCool: I am trying to get t2trg to join us, part of open day

McCool: anything else for the agenda?

(none)

OpenDay

Doodle

McCool: arturo from netzo does not have availabilty on wednesday and thursday. Maybe a smallermeeting another time or doing the industry day on tuesday

McCool: then let's do tuesday
… we can squeeze t2trg

Kaz: only problem with tuesday is the overlap with ac meeting

McCool: we can leave takenaka on monday and do netzo on tuesday

Sebastian: asking netzo about their availability on Monday to make sure

McCool: please get registered with TPAC anyway

registration site

Kaz: this time get registered twice, one for the W3C site and second for the Cevent site

McCool: what about ECHONET?

Kaz: can join on Thursday, Oct 14

McCool: let's summarize the situation on the wiki about the participation

McCool: how much time we need for each of these

McCool: for echonet, do we have a structure

Kaz: 1h consisting of 30min pres and 30min discussion should be OK. will check with them.

McCool: t2trg and did can take long

McCool: sdw can be used for conflicts

Kaz: regarding smart cities, I'd invite the workshop participants to the breakout session instead of the OpenDay given the agenda is getting full.

McCool: it would be good to put the conflicting meetings in the schedule

Chartering

IG Charter

<kaz> IG Charter updates based on the W3M review

McCool: moving marketing to CG should be considered

Kaz: security consideration Note could have been in the IG but we published the work as a WG Note. The Security Best Practices, etc., still can be published as IG work, though.

McCool: should scripting be in ig as well

Ege: binding is also in wg but not rec track
… I still do not understand the benefits of putting spec documents into ig, wg, cg. Can cg make a rec track document?

Kaz: no

<kaz> diagram

Kaz: would suggest we don't add drastic changes at this stage but just add some clarification to PLH's questions, i.e., plugfest and marketing work based on the diagram above.

Editors call

Lagally: I have proposed to have editor's call weekly until the tpac to improve all the documents

McCool: architecture is still the hub for terminology right? the other specifications follow those

TFs

Lagally: tomorrow we have 1 hour architecture call, just a reminder that it is not cancelled

Liaison

McCool: will continue to work on OGC liaison, etc.

AOB?

Sebastian: same webex for Plugfest today?

McCool: not another dedicated one
… please see the plugfest page
