Quick updates
DIoT Workshop, Camera ready papers due Oct 18th
Mizushima: Japanese CG: announcement to CG members about TF will be sent later this week
Ege: Netzo is a startup by a former student of mine - product demo could be part of the F2F / OpenDay
Sebastian: I'm in contact with them on the OpenDay, his name is Arturo
Kaz: Takenaka company has a WoT based platform for building management which includes AI services, they use TD and DTDL
McCool: They have a scripting implementation
Koster: very interested
McCool: if everyone today completes the doodle today we can select a da
McCool: would like to hand over the organisation of testing after the upcoming round
TPAC
McCool: updated the wiki
McCool: we'll have the Plugfest next week
… so cancelling calls except the main call
… Open Day meetings and breakouts are tbd
… vF2f on 5, 7, 26, 27 and 28 of Oct
… note one hour shorter on 26th
… due to T2TRG meeting
Kaz: and the last slot on 28th overlapped with MEIG
McCool: ok
… fixing
… also need group meeting calendar to be updated
… topics are listed but not scheduled yet
McCool: (adds TF topics)
Daniel: btw, have a question about overlapped content between the main wiki and the main call wiki
Daniel: this is a bit confusing
McCool: let's clean up during the next main call
… let's allocate time slots on the agenda
… sk, do you want to discuss OPC-UA?
Sebastian: yes, as discussed during the use case call yesterday
McCool: Lagally, what about architecture, etc.?
Lagally: architcture 30m, profiles 45m, use cases 45m
Sebastian: TD 2.5h
McCool: regarding security, signature 20m, DID 20m
… what about scripting?
Daniel: get back to you shortly
McCool: for TPAC I like to identify a day for the open day
… (checks the doodle)
… conflicts are at certain times, e.g. AC meetings, we also want to avoid Fridays, they are bad for Japan
Ege: I don't have a serious conflict
… any problems with Monday 11th and Thursday 14th
<McCool> proposal: open day for Oct 11 (Monday) and Oct 14 (Thursday)
Kaz: should have a dedicated discussion on smart cities as discussed on chair's reflector
McCool: this could be a breakout
Kaz: breakouts are limited to 1 hour
McCool: we have options of smart cities on Thursday on OpenDay or a separate session
Kaz: what about OGC?
McCool: Let's coordinate, put it into the calendar and check for conflicts. Could have a 3 hour session on Monday or Thursday
Kaz: I will check with all presenters of SmartCities workshop, including OGC rep
McCool: Registration is open now, please register.
… you have to be a member, i.e. have an account.
McCool: I have an agenda for the joint call with SDW
… also for DID, will add them the agenda
Kaz: we have a response from MiniApp, they have a CG and WG. CG side is interested in a joint meeting.
Lagally: no response from automotive group yet
McCool: we may still be able to get a joint session in, but we are behind the deadline already
OpenDay
McCool: I have allocated 6 hours
… when you have confirmation for a presentation, please add it to the Wiki
… ITU-T - We plan for a Dec 13th joint call.
McCool: OGC and IEEE P2874 - I'll contact them
… Echonet - any updates?
Matsuda: we are considering participating in the OpenDay
Kaz: will remind ISO
McCool: OPC UA, since the current contact is a Siemens member he could be attending the OpenDay or a WG call
Lagally: let's add it to the use case call?
McCool: discussing liaisons during OpenDay is not appropriate, we can invite them to that anyway
… liaison discussion should be happening during TPAC
McCool: Need to discuss where a description of liaisons goes, use cases, somewhere else?
Kaz: I thought Jeff also suggested we have liaison discussion on WoT deployment with all the related SDOs during Open Day, and I thought that would make sense. So it seems a bit odd to me to have some of them during the OpenDay and others during the vF2F. Of course that would be fine if there is any concrete preference or rationale, though.
McCool: At OpenDay other groups are attending, Liaison needs to be discussed
(... reorganising the agenda ...)
Charter
McCool: update to new template happened, we should get a renewal, i.e. a request for a new charter before we ask for an extension
… This depends on the deliverables
… asking for input for the new charter, Michael provided some input
Lagally: which features are in TD 2.0, need to be more explicit
… profiles should not be distiguished by use cases, rather protocols
… we could also consider "industrial" as a name
Cancellations
McCool: Plugfest week: Use Cases, Scripting and Architecture not cancelled, architecture is 1 hour only, all other calls except main call are cancelled
Daniel: Will check on scripting
MiniApps joint discussion (revisited)
Kaz: found their final response on the team-wot thread
Kaz: let's follow up by email on the thread
AOB?
none
