Meeting minutes
[presents slides]
karen: were the merchants from all round the world?
nicktr: yes. But we don't have detail of the numbers yet
<benoit> useful to reiterate that areas where SCA was mandatory were excluded
ian: we have lots of banking partners who are interested in further experimentation
… and within the working group, we are in the process of setting up a task force to move this forward as a possible specification
… timelines are still emerging
nicktr: this feels like a great opportunity for merchants to get involved early in the development
phila: I wonder how we can get to the right people within merchants?
mel: I was thinking the same thing - large organisations tend to be very siloed
… so I don't know who would be the right person to talk to?
nicktr: it might be the fraud team
david: this demo was done with cooperation between google and stripe - it would be good to get a guide book from Stripe on how to do this
<phila> SPC blogpost
katie: how involved are Fiserv?
ian: we would love ever more involvement
karen: what do we call this?
nicktr: I would call this a prototype or a technology demonstrator
nicktr: WPWG is going to form a task force with the possibility that this moves towards a specfication
ian: blog post at https://
phila: could we get a video of the demo (but branded as w3c)?
ian: possible deliverables:
… spec
… implementation guide
… faq
… data
… testimonials
topics of the day
scheduling
nicktr: should we have multiple meetings?
phila: I haven't had good experiences
karen: I worry that we are not yet at a critical mass
… perhaps we could experiment with a repeat meeting for asia
<nicktr> next meeting: 26th April, 21h00 UTC
