<MichaelC> WCAG 2.1
<scribe> scribe: matt_king
<jongund> what is the e URL for webex?
<MichaelC> WCAG 2.1
mc: next draft planned for mid sep
but could be sooner
jd: differences?
mc: 15 sc added
for a new total of about 75 sc
Deliberately allow sc to overlap with each other.
work between spe and nov will be aimed at fixing overlaps, and could cause number to go down.
<jongund> JG: webex and the MIT phone dial is not working for me today
<jongund> Is there anything you need from me?
Could cause more diffs with 2.0 as some older sc are edited to reduce overlap.
The sep draft will be feature complete.
js: APA will review after feature complete.
mc: if there are wcag sc that could play badly with aria, the aria wg could potentially make a formal comment.
rs: Concern about potential lack of coggnitive coverage.
mc: There are potentially two sc that could be related to personalization.
rs: also concerned about timing
rs: Rich is stepping down as chair of aria and stepping down form w3c to retire on October 1
<jongund> Thank you Rich, you will be missed
group: offers a lot of thanks to rich
jd: Personalization tf cfc passed
mc: Two coordination meetings so far. Invitation to join is comin soon.
jg: How will it impact telecons
mc: If it uses telecons, it will have its ownn and report back to the wg.
jd: I forgot about publishing moritorium so next deadline is sep 21. Headed to CR for core AAM but not in time for TPAC
mc: goal to exit cr by tpac.
Doint so is important to the AC.
... core aam entering cr by sep 21 makes it possible to enter
pr by Nov 2, assuming no tripping points.
jd: hoping core aam enters cr
before sep.
... In addition to wmaking sure implementers have all there
mappings in, also working on formatting that will allow
auto-generation of testable statements.
Expect to be done before September unless things like vacations get in the way.
jg: what is status of UIA testing.
jd: Getting the spec input from MS is a top priority, more than test results.
jg: I could have a student start working on the UIA testing automation.
jd: Let's wait. Remind me about
this in a couple of weeks.
... Believe we will get test results from MS, but core AAM
mappings is more important rigth now so it can go to CR.
jg: chrome and mozilla are
starting to implement uia
... Have found some UIA code in Mozilla code.
jd: No updates from b/c of core AAM. I now dream about mappings.
jg: was on vacation last week. files I sent, were you able to read?
jd: Have not yet b/c was working on core AAM.
jg: Working on events stuff; need
to make some changes for the isAny value.
... Using Firefox beta. Nightly seems to be breaking AX
APIs.
jd: Have you found the multi process stuff.
Have you disabled it and then re-run the tests.
If they pass, then that may be worth filing a bug.
There should be a stting in preferences to disable multi-processing.
jg: Haven't found that yet.
ATTa for Windows is running out of process, which has interesting problems. Does anyone here know how to make it run in process?
Group: crickets.
jd: James Te may know. He is now working at Mozilla.
