<virginie> note for later : change the timing of the conf to 20:00 UTC
<wseltzer> trackbot, prepare teleconf
<trackbot> Date: 07 April 2014
<jimsch> [ipcaller] is me
trackbot, start meeting
<trackbot> Meeting: Web Cryptography Working Group Teleconference
<trackbot> Date: 07 April 2014
<scribe> scribe: hhalpin
virginie: Will be short meeting, editors have given regrets
virginie: limits of last call 20
May
... some remarks by the IETF
... brought some comments in from IETF SAAG
(more or less same remarks as last time from CFRG, in particular problems around "recommendation")
jimsch: IETF last call in 2-3 weeks, currently through AD review
[hhalpin explains W3C Last Call a bit]
hhalpin: time now to formally close JOSE shortname issue or not
virginie: same with recommendations
for last call issues we can use "issue tracker" but we should make sure there is an appropriate bug in bugzilla
it's OK to say we as Working Group X don't agree with Web Crypto WG's resolution, but some reasoning should provided
I think we haven't gotten wide review quite yet during Last Call
It would be good to get more developers review, as well more folks from the infosec/crypto API community
virginie: no more discussion,
should we go for a call on consensus?
... last call after two weeks
... once we have some discussion on the mailing list.
UNKNOWN_SPEAKER: two options for
f2f
... triggered a Doodle to collocate it with Security and
Privacy Symposium
... f2f meeting in early June
... is it confusion or do people not want to meet?
... no face-to-face option
<jimsch> what are the dates on the october meeting?
<virginie> TPAC is detailed : http://www.w3.org/2014/11/TPAC/
27-31st of October
I'd recommend going for 27-28th of october virginie :)
(so I can be home on halloween)
We *should* meet at TPAC
<jimsch> Middle of wine season
And we will need to do serious test-suite interop work
<terri> if we have no open issues, we'll find any good reason to meet, eh? ;)
<terri> (seriously, though, the test-suite interop work sounds like a good reason)
<virginie> https://www.w3.org/2012/webcrypto/wiki/WG_Future_Work_hardware_token_workshop_2014
There is lots of interest
but no host
There seems to be a desire to want to do it in Sept.
virginie: We must fix it now and
host
... we need four months advance notice to get a global
environment
I agree with Sept. timezone
see if we can find a host in that timeframe
virginie: we need an attractive
workshop
... with a good scope
... so we don't have to redo it after
any questions?
trackbot, end meeting
