HTML-XML-utils 3.6

20 December 2004: version 3.6 of the HTML-XML-utils adds a new program, name2id, that converts old-style anchors "<h2><a name='foo'>" to new style ones "<h2 id='foo'>". See the Changelog for changes in earlier versions.

W3C Link Checker 4.1

25 November 2004: A new version of the W3C link checker fixes a few bugs and slightly improves support for the robots exclusion protocol. read the release notes for details on downloading the tool or Use it online.

W3C Log Validator 0.5

18 Novembre 2004: A new version of the Log Validator, the free web server log analysis tool with a focus on the quality of Web documents. Some bug fixes, better API documentation and a few additional features.

HTML-XML-utils 3.5

8 November 2004: version 3.5 of the HTML-XML-utils corrects a regression in the the man pages for incl and addid. See the Changelog for corrections in earlier versions.

Amaya 8.7

21 October 2004: Amaya 8.7 is released. This release fixes a lot of reported bugs and includes some new features. See the list of bug fixes/new features ( http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/New) for more details.

W3C Log Validator 0.4.1

09 September 2004: A new version of the Log Validator, the free web server log analysis tool with a focus on the quality of Web documents. The new version (v 0.4) has additional filtering features, and improved API documentation. Read the announcement for more details.

W3C Link Checker 4.0

23 July 2004: The new version of the W3C link checker now provides support for the robots exclusion protocols, and introduces usability and style improvements, new features, and bug fixes. read the release notes for details on downloading the tool or Use it online.

W3C Markup Validator 0.6.7

Amaya 8.6 (snapshot)

9 July 2004: Amaya 8.6 snapshot released. It contains mainly bug fixes and some new features about the editing and the bookmarks. It contains also a first beta-version of the new interface based on the wxWidgets toolkit (Linux only for the moment). See http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/New for more details.

HTML-XML-utils 3.1

17 June 2004: Version 3.1 of the HTML-XML-utils adds new manual pages for incl(1) and addid(1), fixes a bug in cite(1) with multiple citations on the same line and accepts a single "&" as allowed in SGML.

W3C Log Validator 0.3

08 June 2004: A new version of the Log Validator, the free web server log analysis tool with a focus on the quality of Web documents. The new version (v 0.3) has added features, bug fixes, and two new modules - CSS Validation and an experimental survey module. Read the announcement for more details.

W3C Markup Validator 0.6.6

21 May 2004: A new version of the W3C Markup Validator released. This maintenance release fixes a handful of minor bugs, addresses a serious bug, and introduces further tweaks on style and usability following feedback on the previous version. Read the announcement for more details.

Amaya 8.5

27 April 2004: Amaya 8.5 released. It fixes annoying bugs reported in the previous release. See http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/New for more details.

HTML-XML-utils 2.9

22 April 2004: Version 2.9 of the HTML-XML-utils fixes some small bugs and adds two features to mkbib: it is now smart enough to not add a "." after a field in a citation if the field already has a "." itself and it prints "et al." (or something similar) if there are too many authors.

Amaya 8.4

16 April 2004: Amaya 8.4 released. It includes a Mac OS X package and bug fixes for CSS, (X)HTML, annotation and the Amaya user interface. See http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/New for more details.

Link Checker 3.9.2 - first standalone release

2 April 2004: Link Checker 3.9.2 released. Previously bundled as part of the W3C Markup Validator suite, the free online W3C link checker service has been updated with this latest release version, and in addition to that, it is now distributed on CPAN and easy to install locally.

Amaya 8.3

5 March 2004: Amaya 8.3 released. It includes bug fixes and new functions to edit (X)HTML and MathML tables, to change the character encoding and the document type, to save the windows geometry. Jigsaw 2.2.4

13 January 2004: Amaya 8.2+ snapshot released. It fixes a set of annoying bugs and includes new features like the generation of the date (on request), new transformations, a new set of shortcuts and a new table editor.
