Mary Jo Mueller | Incorporate the draft content, as-is. | IMO, these changes are minimal. If we want to do a more sweeping update to this section, we can log issues and come back to it for the next working draft. |
Phil Day | Incorporate the draft content, as-is. | |
Mike Pluke | Incorporate the draft content, with changes. | OK apart from a small edit. To me, the first sentence of the third paragraph reads ambiguously, because of the lack of a preposition between the words "provided" and "users". Although it is obvious to me that it actually means "provided to users" someone could read it as "provided by users". To avoid any possible ambiguity, I suggest inserting the word "to" so that it reads: "With the exception of closed environments, assistive technology support in today’s text applications differs markedly from that provided **to** users in earlier days." |
Loïc Martínez Normand | Incorporate the draft content, with changes. | I agree with Mike's editorial change. Everything else is fine for me. |
Mitchell Evan | Incorporate the draft content, with changes. | (1) Editorial: https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/pull/172/files/93b4132e2e0fe70491902dbd163177ac0d2a6f72#r1268874636 (2) Substantive edit (for consistency with our prior edit in the Appendix): https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/pull/172/files/93b4132e2e0fe70491902dbd163177ac0d2a6f72#r1268875805 (3) Substantive edit: https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/pull/172/files/93b4132e2e0fe70491902dbd163177ac0d2a6f72#r1268869557 (4) Editorial: https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/pull/172/files/93b4132e2e0fe70491902dbd163177ac0d2a6f72#r1268870840 (5) Editorial: https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/pull/172/files/93b4132e2e0fe70491902dbd163177ac0d2a6f72#r1268872994 (6) Editorial: https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/pull/172/files/93b4132e2e0fe70491902dbd163177ac0d2a6f72#r1268873720 |
Please review the proposed update to the Background on Text / Command-line / Terminal Applications and Interfaces section and indicate its readiness to incorporate into the editor's draft. The changes are indicated in Pull Request 172.
Note, this is a first pass of updates. The sub-group is drafting per-SC details to the sub-section Applying WCAG 2.2 to Text Applications, but this content isn't ready for review yet.
