Responder Review of proposal for Introductory sectionsComments
Fernanda Bonnin The proposal isn't ready to incorporate yet. the proposed text mentions "The Task Force found that the majority of success criteria from WCAG 2.2 can apply to non-web documents and software with either no or minimal changes" as we have not completed reviewing each S.C. I don't believe we should make such claim. Same for similar statements in the text.

On line 53 " Each note is in its own inset box styled in pale green with a darker green line on the left side of the box." the description makes it such that we are using color only to convey notes?
Devanshu Chandra The proposal can be incorporated into the WCAG2ICT editor's draft as-is.
Chris Loiselle The proposal can be incorporated into the WCAG2ICT editor' draft with some changes. I'm not sure if "The Task Force found that the majority of success criteria from WCAG 2.2 can apply to non-web documents and software with either no or minimal changes. Since many of the Level A and AA success criteria do not include any web related terms, they apply directly as written and as described in the “Intent” sections from the Understanding WCAG 2.2 [[UNDERSTANDING-WCAG22]] resource. Additional notes were provided, as needed, to provide assistance in applying them to non-web documents and software." was referenced in any previous meetings , however if it was and we agreed on it, then this is ready for as is.
Mary Jo Mueller The proposal can be incorporated into the WCAG2ICT editor' draft with some changes. NOTE: This is a draft of content that was introduced so the group could review, discuss, and work through the proposal to not provide discrete numbers. In the past the document contained very specific numbers for everything - how many SC applied directly, how many had notes, how many had substitutions for web terminology. After adding a few SC, this content is no longer correct and would keep having to be changed every time we publish a draft, so generalizing rather than providing that level of detail keeps the information from being as brittle. I don't think anyone questions as much the general applicability of most of the WCAG criteria to non-web documents and software. The total number of SC in WCAG 2.2 is 56. I have counted the number of SC in WCAG 2.2 that do not use web-specific terminology "Web", "Web page", "page", "website", and "user agent" and also excluded any that used "CSS pixel". This still added 7 to the existing number of SC deemed applicable in the 2013 document (26) which adds up to 33. That's more than half of 56, a majority, so I believe the change is correct. This doesn't mean the text can't change again later if we have feedback that the actual numbers are needed.

For line 53, we could add that notes begin with the word "NOTE" in addition to the visual description.
Mitchell Evan The proposal can be incorporated into the WCAG2ICT editor's draft as-is.
Laura Miller The proposal can be incorporated into the WCAG2ICT editor' draft with some changes. Therefore is used twice as the transition for two sentences in a row.
Sam Ogami The proposal can be incorporated into the WCAG2ICT editor's draft as-is.
