Howard Kramer | Major revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | The WCAG EM report tool seems make this resource (Template for Accessibility Evaluation Reports) outdated & redundant. If updated it could still be a useful resource but not sure there's a need for it with the new EM report tool. Numerous references to WCAG 1.0 and related technical documents. All these references and links need to be updated. I'm not sure this document is still needed. Some things I liked about it - such as being able to review all the report sections at once. |
James Green | No change needed now and I have placed a date for next review in the comments box. | Essential Components (http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/components.php) Evergreen - when the WAI website it updated, we'll want to update the images on this resource. They look pretty dated right now. I'd re-reivew in one year. |
Andrew Arch | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Contacting Orgs about Inaccessible - https://www.w3.org/WAI/users/inaccessible.html Broken links: Urgent fix Overall review: Urgency - low / Effort - low |
Denis Boudreau | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | http://w3c.github.io/wai-inclusion/ - EOWG folks have started working on this document this week. I intend to contribute feedback as well. This will be the first document I spend time on (as of next week). |
Eric Eggert | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Accessible UI Components List – Finishing up at the moment |
Sharron Rush | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | I am support on the Accessibility Intro on W3C main site. It needs updates to links and perhaps some tweaks to the language to reflect newer technology/methodology. Once that is done, a one year review cycle is recommended. Urgency: Moderate, since it is likely to be an intro to those who do not even know about WAI Effort: 4 hours or so, imo |
Susan Hewitt | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Older User Pages. I will pass the RM role to Andrew for this one and help him as needed. The page that might benefit from updating is "2. & Older People: Meeting Needs." I'd like to take a closer look to see if it's appropriate to mention mobile-specific needs. I wouldn't rate any of these as high priority. Effort, minimal. |
Adina Halter | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Web Accessibility Perspectives... (showcase videos) This is a work in progress. |

James Green | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | WCAG 2.0 at a Glance (http://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG20/glance/) Haven't seen the PDFs, but they will need some work to be ready. May be able to use some enhancement. |
Andrew Arch | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Make Your Presentations Accessible - https://www.w3.org/WAI/training/accessible.php Small tweaks to some sections, eg leave space at the bottom of your slides for captions if the event is being broadcast Overall review: Urgency - low / Effort - low |
Denis Boudreau | Major revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | https://www.w3.org/WAI/Policy/harmon.html - I think we need to reorganize and actualize the content of that document. As WCAG gets more and more traction around the world, and govts may be tempted to reinvent the wheel, there is definitive value in updating it, and finally releasing it. |
Eric Eggert | No change needed now and I have placed a date for next review in the comments box. | Tools Database – Recently updated. Next Review: Q2/2017 |
Sharron Rush | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Somewhere between minor and major revision needed to the WAI Intro to Accessibility. It has not been updated since 2005, needs to be reconciled with approach on W3C pages. Urgency: High and then annual review Effort: 2 days, may work on it at the F2F if schedule permits |
Susan Hewitt | Major revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | All three mobile pages where I'm listed as RM: Mobile Accessibility, Web Content Accessibility and Mobile Web: Making a Website Accessible Both for People with Disabilities and for Mobile Devices, and Shared Web Experiences: Barriers Common to Mobile Device Users and People with Disabilities. The information itself looks as if it needs minor revisions especially in terms of referencing how mobile content is accessed. Other details should be reviewed for possible, new info to share. Overall, I don't think the content itself is that dated. We should make a point to review the mobile resources yearly as it is such an evolving area of a11y. But, I'm sure it will come as no surprise that I would like to work on clarifying the differences between the docs, avoiding repetition, and editing text for more plain language and engaging tone. The awareness of mobile a11y needs increases day by day. Let's make sure our resources are ones that people turn to and use. Moderate effort. |
Adina Halter | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | [Accessibility, Usability, Inclusion] I believe this will flow out of our work on the project above. But need to check with Shadi on that since he's heading this up. |

James Green | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Easy Checks (http://www.w3.org/WAI/eval/preliminary.html) Working draft for 2 years, so high priority. Style sheets appear to be broken right now, needs help with imagery, new check needs wordsmithing, could be edited down to use fewer words. Medium effort. |
Andrew Arch | Major revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Developing Pres & Train - https://www.w3.org/WAI/training/Overview.html Broken links: Urgent fix Overall review: Urgency - medium/ Effort - medium (due to size of resource) Needs major review. Needs to incorporate appropriate WAI outputs since start 2013 and/or ensure descriptions of updates pages are still adequate. |
Denis Boudreau | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/page-structure/ - Just want to read through it all and provide feedback, proposals for changes. I expect them to be minor. |
Eric Eggert | Major revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Tutorials: Page Structure: Major revision – Urgency: high – Effort: high Menus: Medium review of proposed changes – Urgency: high – Effort: medium-high Images: Minor, mainly editorial revisions – Urgency: medium-high – Effort: low Tables: Minor additions to be made – Urgency: low – Effort: medium Forms: Up to date. Carousels: Medium review of proposed changes – Urgency: high – Effort: medium-high |
Sharron Rush | Major revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | The very extensive article on Involving Users needs major revision and can perhaps merge with others, depending on how the redesign goes. Urgency: Low, once completed annual review should be sufficient. Effort: High |
Susan Hewitt | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Tutorials (listed as a resource for help) - The only contribution I would like to make is language editing. These are already in draft so urgency and effort is established. |
Adina Halter | I have not had time to review this document, will get to it by the date below. | Mobile Web Will be helping Susan with this after the work on the video production is complete. I would guess June. |

Andrew Arch | Major revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | Policies - https://www.w3.org/WAI/training/Overview.html Not assigned to me, but happy to help :) Can we update our own countries first (incl recruiting people for other countries participating in other WAI working groups?) Can we draw on other resources that collect some of this information as a starting point? |
Denis Boudreau | Minor revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/images/ - Just want to read through it all and provide feedback, proposals for changes. I expect them to be minor. |
Eric Eggert | Major revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | WAI Presentations Needs major rethink, including a new requirements analysis. – Urgency: medium-low – Effort: high – Impact: high [Notes to self: Maybe provide slides for people to copy and paste to their presentations with important accessibility statistics, WCAG information. Using (and maintaining) the information needs to be simpler. Content must be updated, too. We should look into retiring the resource as-is and create a new resource that fills the – to be determined – user requirements.] |
Sharron Rush | This document is no longer relevant to the modern web and should be retired. | The HandOuts are definitely out of date and need to be retired. The question is what to put in place of them. We might consider an app or other way to distribute basic materials widely. Urgency: High - retirement should be done now and quarterly review for timeliness and relevance Effort for replacement: High, probably several months. |
Susan Hewitt | Major revision needed. Estimate of urgency and effort in comment box below | I'm listed as help to Judy with BAD. I think this is high priority as it is widely referenced but it needs extensive updating. It needs a complete overall visually. The the techniques and examples used also need to be reviewed to address more current and widespread website elements and code implementations. Such a thorough overhaul will require a lot of effort and more members as part of the working team compared to other resources. |
Adina Halter | Web Content Accessibility and Mobile Web Will be helping Susan with this after the work on the video production is complete. I would guess June. |
