1. Select Your Projects

For each of the six projects below (discussed on Projects), please tell us how interested and available you are. If other people come forward to work on it, and the project moves forward, how much do you expect to work on it?

Please use this scale:

  1. Not at all. Realistically, I'm not going to put any time or effort into this project.
  2. Just a little. I might read a little e-mail about it, and pay attention if it's talked about during a meeting. I'm not likely to speak up, or think about it outside of meetings.
  3. Moderate. I'll read a few emails a week, talk about it in meetings, and review some drafts.
  4. I'll put significant time into it. I can attend extra phone meetings, read and respond to e-mail nearly every day, and can write text for documents.
  5. Primary. If the project materializes, it will be a major part of my professional life. I will devote several hours per day or days per week to this project.

Please provide any additional clarification in the Comments field.

David Osimo 1 2 1 1 1 2
Sharron Rush 3 2 2 4 4 3 In all of these areas, my primary interest is how to ensure that accessibility issues are considered and integrated into the development of eGov practices and technologies.
Brad Cox 3 1 3 1 1 1
Adam Harvey 1 1 1 4 2 3 I'm willing to help with the eGov group, but too much lately has been way over my head and/or boring to me, and has seemed to stall into endless discussions that I can't really meaningfully contribute to or judge the worthiness of.
Daniel Bennett 3 3 3 5 5 2
Quiroz Sergio 3 2 3 4 5 2 As part of our XBRL project implementation in the Ministry of Finance of Chile, we believe how important is to deliver high quality data. We would like to implement best practices for delivering services to citizens and data management.

Roy Graham 4 4 3 3 3 2
Vagner Diniz 2 3 2 4 2 3 I will put significant time in Best Practices for Using Web Technologies just in case I have something new to tell about a few pilot projects to begin in Brazil.

Dave McAllister 4 2 2 3 4 3
Brian Gryth 3 3 3 4 3 5 I will participate as much as possible in the IGs projects. I believe my skill sets are best suited to the Social Media and Web Technology tasks. But I am interested in the other areas and will help in anyway that I can. Thanks, Brian

Brand Niemann 5 5 5 5 5 5 My challenge to the community is to "Put Your Desktop in the Cloud in Support of the Open Government Directive and Data.gov/semantic"

and my latest on how to do this is at http://semanticommunity.net/ and in the press at:

John Sheridan 4 5 4 2 2 1 In my work, I have a very clear focus on linked data over the next year, so I am pleased the group is addressing that. We need to clearly set out the benefits of using linked data standards for government. I am also of the view that the e-Gov IG needs to retain a broader interest across the range of issues where the interests of government and W3C standards coincide.
Ken Fischer 2 4 3 4 3 4 I am interested in helping federal employees and contractors learn about best practices, lessons learned and strategies through the workshops I organize with Potomac Forum. http://www.govcollab.org
Ed Summers 4 4 4 4 3 3 Ultimately I'm not sure how useful it is to treat Best Practices for Web Technologies as separate from Best Practices for Linked Data. I think the web community needs to see the spectrum of web technology choices in a holistic way...and not as an either/or.
Aldo Gangemi 4 2 3 2 4 2
Cory Casanave 4 4 5 3 3 2 Priorities to me is:
1: Outreach, both in terms of the value and trust that LOD for gov is viable
2: Providing information as to how this is done

Demo projects can serve both purposes. The other is the web resources we must focus on. My focus is LOD for gov, mostly focused on the US.

I will also spend time on the web resources, oce we get the templates in place.

Hugh Barnes 2 3 2 4 3 2 This was pretty hard to be accurate with. Interest and availability are different, for starters (sorry, I'm paid to be pedantic these days :~) ). Generally my interest is greater than that indicated, and my availability will be less certain. I am in less control of my spare time than I would like at the moment. My contributions are more likely to be "spurty" than regular. I will put significant effort into a project which engages me, and can usually find time when there is a pressing deadline. The project that engages me most may not be what seems the most interesting at this point. Also, please note that my timezone (+10) limits my ability to attend teleconferences at standard convenient times (for Europe/Americas).
José Manuel Alonso 5 4 4 2 3 1 Not only speaking on my behalf but on behalf of my Team. My Team is working on OGD and GLD projects with a clear focus on the latter. I expect to bring additional resources from my team to the IG to work on some of the items and talk about successes, failures and challenges of the approaches taken.

Rachel Flagg 1 2 1 4 2 3 I work on the (US) Government Web Best Practices team, USA.gov, so improving online service delivery is my job...but don't necessarily have a lot of time to devote to W3C projects unless they are very targeted to this topic and can deliver some real value to USGovt Web Managers. :)
