Youngwhan Lee no Blockchain in IoT is my interest.
      Geater Jon yes Security model
Security is a whole system game: data, code, processes etc on either side of the APIs we design will create the total security model.
We need to define a string set of principles and assumptions up front in order to frame the long term development and maintenance of the standards we produce, and in order for people to make proper use of them.
Without this, as things develop to include private chains, complex smart contacts etc (most likely under fragmented stewardship) we may find the security approach of the overall standard becoming confused and ultimately unusable.

I'm aware that it may be too early to do this but I hope enough people are in attendance with strong ideas on non-coin, security first use cases that we can have a good first stab at a generic security requirements statement at least.

Eileen Quenin no I am not exactly sure what this would entail. Since I am not a developer, speaking to a topic requiring an ability to "talk code" i limited. THat being said, I'd love to help facilitate business use cases around blockchain
      Gurvinder Ahluwalia yes Two possibilities:
      - Blockchain+IoT related
      - Consensus protocol related
Sandro Hawke yes I'm available if you want. My expertise is in W3C process and in decentralization technologies. Not into currencies, and not an expert in blockchain tech.

      Sita Magnuson no
Thaddeus Dryja yes I can talk about off-blockchain payment channel networks, routing, and the identities and inter-node ratings used in these systems. This is specific to the work I'm doing but I think it can have a lot of overlap with other projects and wide applicability.
Manu Sporny yes The Standardizable Bits of Blockchain Technology

The breakout could focus on (with input from participants):

      * Basic Data Model for Blockchain (State Machine + Events)
      * Consensus Algorithms (Proof of Work, Stellar Consensus, Hashgraph)
      * Storage Algorithms (Merkle Trees, MerklePatriciaTrees, Linked List)
      * Block Signature Algorithms (JOSE, Linked Data Signatures)
      * Web-based Access Protocol (Create, Status, Sync, Add, Query)
      * Is this the right approach? Are any of these bad things to try and standardize eventually? When do we think we would be able to standardize this?

      Super rough basic proposal:
