A community group dedicated to creating sustainable websites.
You are invited to support the creation of this group. Once the group has a total of five supporters, W3C launch the group and people can join to begin work.

Idea whose times has come. If physical buildings have eco-footprints, so do websites. WPO is not enough – efficiency engineering must be integrated with design and user experience for effective sustainability.
Imho you’re absolutely right! “Green conception” is a big part of sustainability.
It seems to me very interesting but also unclear.
Even so we could define simple guidelines for sustainable modern websites — sort of good practices basis (open technologies, mvc model, accessibility, security…) — to non-web professionals (like administrations, firms, aso.)
