Alternate Versions of WCAG 2.0 Materials

This is a collection of alternate versions for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Understanding WCAG 2.0, and Techniques for WCAG 2.0. The alternative versions are informative, meaning they are not official versions and should not be formally referenced.

WCAG 2.0

The following informative versions of WCAG 2.0 are available:

• Archives of the HTML version of the guidelines:
  • Zip of WCAG 2.0 (85 KB)
  • TAR/GNU Zip (tgz) of WCAG 2.0 (85 KB)

It is expected that the following versions will be available in August 2009:

• Portable Document Format (PDF): optimized for printing
  • U.S. Letter PDF version of WCAG 2.0
  • A4 PDF version of WCAG 2.0

Understanding WCAG 2.0

The following versions of Understanding WCAG 2.0 are available:

• Archives of the HTML version of Understanding WCAG 2.0:
  • Zip of Understanding WCAG 2.0 (710 KB)
  • TAR/GNU Zip (tgz) of Understanding WCAG 2.0 (540 KB)

It is expected that the following versions will be available in August 2009:

• Portable Document Format (PDF): optimized for printing
  • U.S. Letter PDF version of Understanding WCAG 2.0
  • A4 PDF version of Understanding WCAG 2.0

Techniques for WCAG 2.0

The following versions of WCAG 2.0 Techniques are available:

• Archives of the HTML version of the techniques:
  • Zip archive of WCAG 2.0 Techniques (2600 KB)
  • TAR/GNU Zip (tgz) archive of WCAG 2.0 Techniques (3220 KB)

It is expected that the following versions will be available in August 2009:

• Portable Document Format (PDF): optimized for printing
  • U.S. Letter PDF version of WCAG 2.0 Techniques
  • A4 PDF version of WCAG 2.0 Techniques

The WCAG Working Group is considering additional presentations of these materials, based on need. If a specific presentation format would be beneficial to you, please send a public comment to the Working Group.
