Does ARIA2 need to be changed, or H90?
Andrew Kirkpatrick, 14 May 2014, 14:03:23Discussed on 3rd of June WG call. Kathy W to look at it.
Joshue O'Connor, 3 Jun 2014, 15:38:58ARIA2 is listed in the "How to Meet" documentation under 3.3.2. It does not show up under 1.3.1. The technique for ARIA2 references 1.3.1 and not 3.3.2. It is my opinion that ARIA2 should be changed to reference 3.3.2.
Kathleen Wahlbin, 3 Jun 2014, 19:30:57Consider 3 changes:
1. For H90, add SC 1.3.1 under applicable SC just like H44 (for labels) references SC 1.3.1 and 3.3.2.
2. For ARIA2:
i. Add SC 3.3.2 under applicable SC; ARIA2 is already marked as sufficient for SC 3.3.2.
ii. Remove Note 3 in ARIA2:
:Note 3: At this time, WAI-ARIA is a Working Draft. This technique is provided as an advisory technique for organizations that wish to experiment with achieving WCAG conformance using WAI-ARIA. When WAI-ARIA becomes a formal specification and is supported in user agents, it is anticipated that this technique will become a sufficient technique.
3. In How to Meet SC 1.3.1
Move ARIA2 to sufficient from advisory technique for SC 1.3.1; ARIA2 is already marked as sufficient for SC 3.3.2.
