WCAG2ICT Task Force

The objective of the WCAG2ICT Task Force is to develop documentation describing how WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 and its principles, guidelines, and success criteria could apply to non-Web Information and Communications Technologies (ICT).

Meetings and Communication

The WCAG2ICT TF conducts its work using a variety of synchronous and asynchronous tools. Once the TF is re-established, its work will be done via teleconference, email and GitHub issues.

These tools are used by participants of the Task Force. For ways you can contribute, see How to Comment, Contribute, and Participate.


A teleconference schedule will be created when the WCAG2ICT Task Force is officially re-established.

Mailing Lists

The WCAG2ICT TF uses the public-wcag2ict-tf@w3.org mailing list (mailing list archives) for email discussion. Participants are automatically added to this mailing list when they become a participant of the Task Force. Members of the public can post to this list to send input to the task force.

How to Comment, Contribute, and Participate

To join the WCAG2ICT TF, individuals must be participants of the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group. Participants are expected to actively contribute to the work of the Task Force. If you are interested in participating in the Silver TF, please send e-mail to @@ and include a little bit about what you’re interested in and how you think that you may be able to contribute to the Task Force. Then follow the participation procedures of the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group, and once you have joined, ask Michael Cooper to add you to the task force.

Work Statement

The Draft WCAG2ICT Task Force Work Statement defines the initial objective, scope, approach, and participation of the Task Force. The draft work statement is subject to the review and approval of the Accessibility Guidelines WG.
