Purpose, Goals, Objectives
- Combat the (mostly) myth that a Web site can meet accessibility guidelines and not be accessible.
- Clarify the complementary role that guidelines and usability techniques play.
Secondary:
- Clarify that some standards do not go as far as others
Audience
- Anyone who hears that accessibility guidelines don't result in accessibility
- Usability professionals (who are say it)
Notes
- Potential problem spots and black holes:
- Will need to touch on the issue of accessibility and usability.
- WIll come up on the issue of "basic" accessibility.
- Perhaps explicitly say that Section 508 Web standards are small subset of WCAG 1.0?
