Does "shrink-to-fit" width of a flexbox child depend on available space?

State:
CLOSED
Product:
CSS3 Flexbox

Description:
Summary
Does "shrink-to-fit" width of a flexbox child depend on available space?

Proposal
No. Shrink-to-fit calculations should be done in infinite space.

Note
The proposed behavior is Mozilla behavior. Webkit limits shrink-to-fit size to parent/window, as if it was a float.
However if the negative space distribution is based on combination of shrink-to-fit size and flex, adding an additional constraint on preferred size doesn't make any sense.

Resolved @FTF

Shrink-to-fit calculations are performed in infinite space.
In terms of CSS3 box model, shrink-to-fit width and height should be using ‘max-content’ rather than ‘fit-content’
