An ICT "revolution"...

In 10 yrs., XML became "The" standard... not just for the web! It's been a kind of "revolution". Thank you! :)

Discovrering

Dear XML, that was a greate pleasure get accuaited with you at that days. I was thinking about how, how could I not noticed you for such a long time. Together we made our life more flexible and found new ways of

implementation of rather diffent things.

Stay in my life later and we will be changing together you and me - like two brothers, like two childs of one father, you know, father, whoes name

is so simple and so inspired - Internet.

Forever yours,

Wolfgang.

X marks the World!

In the start it was looked at as a great promise. Now it's looked at as a

normal daily tool.

Still I guess the best out of Xml is that it was delivered to the world as a technical specification, and it lives today in that same world without seeing those specifications cut, copied and paste as that is what the real

world normally does to scientific jargon.

The best things in life are stable.

ten years later, time to repeat it?

I've been suggesting that XML itself could use some of the same kind of

cleanup that XML gave SGML after it had had ten years to mature.

http://lists.xml.org/archives/xml-dev/200802/msg00131.html

I think that might be the best birthday present we can give XML.

Thanks! Or not?

Oh.. almighty XML! Thanks for the verbosity! Thank you for them sacred deployment descriptors and countless Java frameworks' configuration files! Thanks for the 10-million-records web service invocation and

flooding ajax network calls...

Just kidding ;) Thank you for adaptability, portability and readability!

Re: Thanks! Or not?

hahaha I think if we thank xml that way, its parent (the enormous SGML) will be mad...

Felicidades y muchas gracias

XML

XML is an amazing invention that has revolutionized the ability to store and access information. The granularity, flexibility, and control over content is unparalleled. I would like to commend the technical team that has evolved the specification. May such standards truly enable vendor-independent data creation, storage, and display.

XML Rocks

Thank you for the years of great programming for XML. XML has redefined

document and programming standards for all areas for computers and users.

This standard is beautiful and wonderful and is a lifesaver in many times where a required documentation type is needed. I can't thank you enough and give you gratitude for this great language! Keep up the good work!

XML is genius cross platform document

I'm a analyst programmer and used several programming languages daily, like javascript, vbscript, vb, python, php and asp. God bless XML, because it can be use in any programming language and save lot of software

integration problem.

I also advance in DOM skill, i loves coded in DOM because it powerfull

control of XML

XML no doubt is a saviour! too bad all people considering an IDE to create and edit HTML/XML and many people think that the bad HTML can be run just fine in their browser. I mean sad for them because they can not take the advantage of XML because they don't consider a valid markup in the beginning. I also consider people get lazy to type markup or DOM and use

unvalid template engine/framework. o gosh.

W3C should push browser vendor to consider valid markup for their user

Anyway, happy birthday XML. God bless the XML and people behind it.

Thankyou

this must mean I am getting older

XML is strong and vibrant as ever, feels like yesterday I started making

mistakes in XSLT.

XML seems to have also been successful at 'tagging' a group of like minded individuals with which I very much enjoy interacting and learning

from.

thx once again.

It's for IT like what's the fork for eating!

XML is more than the exchange format of the WWW, it is the most important 'basic technology' of IT. Every modern advancement in the field of software development and data communication is based on XML. It's for IT like what's the fork for eating!

desarrollo en BPEL, es espectacular!!!!

Ya lo siento parte de mi, no me imagino mi vida diaria sin XML, jejeje.
