... how do you represent this if we include SKOS notation
... we need to see more examples and work them through

<Ralph> Sean: I was expecting a bit more detail than was in Margherita's mail of yesterday

ACTION: Guus to mail his position on issues 72, 73 and 75 to the list [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2008/05/13-swd-minutes.html#action25] [CONTINUES]

Guus: over next few weeks we must resolve the open issues in the minutes
... Do we have enough material--we left this open at the F2F

<Ralph> issue-76; SymbolicLabels

Guus: we are now talking about whether to drop them

Alistair: The ongoing discussions are about notation and not symbol labels. We need Margerita's examples.
... I don't think we can do more there right now

<Ralph> Alistair: Margherita's examples seem no longer to need symbolic lables

Guus: looks like need for symbolic labels will be dropped

TomB: I propose we drop it

<aliman> +1

<Antoine> +1

Guus: Proposed not to carry forward SKOS: prefSymbol and altSymbol into the new namespace

<aliman> I second.

RESOLVED: not to carry forward skos:prefSymbol and skos:altSymbol into the new namespace for lack of clear requirements

-- http://www.w3.org/2006/07/SWD/track/issues/80 - SKOS-OWL-Patterns

seanb: Question as to how to publish/describe them

<Ralph> [issue-78 closed]

seanb: I don't see this as part of the technical material to be produced.

<aliman> I agree with seanb

Guus: we might see if people want to write stuff about this in the primer.
... This doesn't affect technical design of SKOS.

sean: This doesn't affect the design of what we're doing

Alistair: we've kept our options open in design of SKOS

seanb: we are not saying this isn't important issue. It just need not be in the reference.
... nor in the primer.

PROPOSAL: to close issue 80

Guus: the technical issues of SKOS/OWL have already been dealt with
... seconds?

<aliman> I second

<aliman> For the record, i think a SKOS/OWL usage note would make a great piece of work, and I really hope Alan Rector & Robert Stevens can contribute.

<TomB> RESOLVED: technical issues of SKOS/OWL have already been dealt with

<seanb>

<Ralph> "progress on SKOS Reference"

Alistair: I have written a new section on mapping properties. Also first draft on extending labels.

... seanb and I felt we could produce a revised draft by next Tues

... I propose to publish it as it is without formal review

<TomB> +1 to publish without formal review

Guus: How do editors feel about that?

<seanb> Fine with me.

ACTION: Editors to produce a revised working draft for next week on which we can vote [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2008/05/27-swd-minutes.html#action15]

<aliman> master SKOS Reference

RDFa

benadida: I have updated primer to include to respond to comments from Ed and Diego.
... Primer at this point will be ready to go to official working draft.
... We're not discussing and about to close last substantive issue on tracker.
... looks like the issue that has been raised is not significant enough to require change in syntax document.

Guus: so we're adead of the agenda.

Ben: the primer is ready to go after I do one more pass over it.

Guus: on June 10 can we make request for candidate rec?
... The implementation report need not be done by June 10.

Ben: I think June 10 is good goal.

Guus: What we need is a pointer to the docs and an indication how you handled last call comments.
... you can point to the tracker.

Ralph: I'll have to produce the enumeration for a director decision.

Guus: In Aug, we need implementation report.

Ben: we keep adding new implementations, which has held up faster completion.

<edsu> yahoo++

Ralph: At Semantic Technologies Conference, Yahoo said searchmonkey will support RDFa.

Ben: They parse pages and it all ends up in RSS with RDFa.
... they will be parsing RDFa in XHTML.

Guus: we could take a decision next week.

Ben: just want to make sure we've closed the issues.
