- Web Performance guidelines (PLH)
- There is interest in performance guidelines
- Goal is to increase the outreach to the community
- this is not a recommendation item, but more a webplatform.org one, since guidelines are a constant moving target
- Problem is to get someone to kick start the work and coordinate between the resources out there
- starting with basic guidelines (http compression, css read/write batching, etc.) is the first step
- Web Performance workshop at Velocity 2014 (June 24-26, 2014) (PLH)
- that's a Friday agenda item, ie after our mini-workshop
- Should we have a workshop in 2014 and are they the best vehicules to get input for future work? Maybe a 2 hours session/panel at Velocity is enough?
- Talked to O'Reilly and Steve Souders and they are interested with the idea of doing on the side of Velocity
- Switching to Github
