Results
A) the sample document would not work with JAWS' virtual cursor turned on (default setting when using a browser)
B) using the INSERT + Z keystroke to turn the virtual cursor off, the prefatory text was incorrectly read when a "ReadAll" command was issued; instead of reading the full first line: "How to use: keyboard works as in normal tree view. Use arrow keys to move, including left/right to collapse/expand. Double clicking" JAWS was only able to read "How to use: keyboard" no matter what screen review commands were used (note: virtual cursor disabled)
C) was able to access the tree widget with virtual cursor turned off; pressing "G" cycled through: "Green", "Green Beans", "Grapes" and "Guava"
D) nodes in the tree which are expandable were reported as either "open" or "closed" and using the LeftArrow closing the node and RightArrow exposing its subtree
E) it was necessary to manually turn the virtual cursor off whenever focus was removed from the page -- for example, each time i switched to a plain text editor to document the sample's behavior, it was necessary to turn the virtual cursor off using the INSERT + Z command in order to interact with the document
