ARIA Example Test Results for Reference 7: HTML Alert

  5. Browser Version & Build: minefield (FF3) 39a9pre (2007-10-10 build)
  6. Browser Plugins (such as MozzIE, FAE, etc.): Accessibar 0.7.6
  7. System Specifications:
    • Operating System (version & build/patches): Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Version 2002) Service Pack 2
    • Processor/CPU Speed: Intel Pentium 4/3.20GHz
    • RAM: 2GB

Results

  • A) Activating the "create button" resulted in no response from minefield nor from JAWS;
  • B) activating the "Show via style" button resulted in the auto-announcement "This popup is created as a div in the HTML content, rather than being created in the DOM at the time of use. The visibility style was changed from "hidden" to "visible" to hide and show it. Close button." -- the generated "Close" button, however, did not close the popup, but moved focus from the "Close" button to the "Create" button
  • C) only by routing the JAWS cursor to the "Close" button was i able to close the popup by simulating a left mouse click
