Results

  • A) the example worked as intended with full functionality
  • B) the tracking number edit box was correctly identified by JAWS as an editable area and was exposed via the "List of Form Fields"; when tabbed to, it automatically read the LEGEND, and the contents of the DIV marked with the ARIA attribute "describedby" ("Order tracking has been enabled for all shipments outside of Texas. For information on orders to Texas, please call 1-555-HELP-NOW for an automated recording.")
  • C) the "Check Now" button was also included in JAWS' "List of Form Fields"; when tabbed-to, the LEGEND defined for the FIELDSET was correctly and fully spoken along with the form control type: "Order Tracking, Check Now button"
