There are many ways to expression "square data", aggregations of other data. Current initiatives by format:

• RDF:

• • Data Cube - multi-dimension data in RDF, predates PROV

• XML:

• • SDMX - focused on financial sector

• multi-format (abstract model):

• • DDI - initial focus on census data, now more clinical. leverages SDMX and Data Cube.

on the clinical side:

• SDTM/ADaM - clinical study submissions
• BRIDG - model for clinical trial data and processes
• FHIR - fhir schemas used for e.g. breast cancer aggregations

Proposals:

• create a FHIR StructureDefinition for DDI so FHIR users can quickly understand and leverage it.
• try out anonymized study data e.g. Framingham Heart Study with these models
