Chair

The Chair is responsible for the overall management of a group, including setting the group's agenda and ensuring that decisions reflect the consensus of the group. Learn more about the Role of Chair.

Editor

Editors manage documents and their publication. Editors play different roles in different groups, at times reflecting decisions of the group, at other times leading by drafting proposals and responding directly to reviewers. Learn more about the Role of Editor.

Scribe

Scribes record meeting minutes, including decisions, actions, and objections. Learn more about the Role of Scribe.

Staff (or Team) Contact

Each W3C Working and Interest Group has a Staff Contact who reports to W3C management. The Staff Contact helps the Chair run the group, but also plays an important communications role via interactions with the rest of the W3C staff. Learn more about the Role of Staff Contact.

Test Manager

The Test Manager helps the group produce a test suite.
