This article is a stub. You can help the W3C wiki by expanding it.
Background
The Editing Taskforce was established in 2014 as a joint effort of the HTML Working Group and WebApps Working Group with the aim of creating spec and standardize primitives that can assist JavaScript developers in creating webbased editing environments in HTML. After a number of recharter processes, it is now part of the WebApps Working Group.
