<h2>Activity description</h2>
<p>ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: None, just an interest in cake decorating. <br />
The course is designed for beginners, or those with a little experience
in cake decorating who want to brush up on their skills/knowledge.</p>

GENERAL AIM OF THE COURSE: To teach students the basic techniques and
skills needed to produce hand crafted cake decorations and ornaments,
using different forms of fondant/icing, in a friendly, informal
environment. </p>
<p>LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the end of the course, students will: </p>

<p>GENERAL APPROACH TO THE COURSE: Students will produce cake decorations
with guidance from the tutor as required, and will be given demonstrations
on different techniques throughout the course.</p>
<p>MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENTS: The first week of the course will include
demonstrations by the tutor and discussion on the course content as well
as a small project. Students will need to supply ingredients and cake
decorating equipment each week, as well as an apron, washing-up
liquid/cloths and tea towels. A list of ingredients/equipment required
for Week1 will be made available to enrolled students prior to the start
date. Thereafter information for the following week will be given at the
class. It should be noted this is not a baking class, anyone wishing to
decorate a cake at the class will need to bring it with them. Please note
that schools vary in what equipment they can provide to our classes and
that clean up time is an intrinsic part of your class.
