June Quarterly Community Group Call

Hello Everyone! The June quarterly call will be held on June 5 at 10AM Americas Eastern Daylight Time, which is 4PM Central Europe Summer Time. Thank you to everyone who responded to the user community survey. It helped us narrow our timezone options.

DAM NY 2018 Roundtable

Our roundtable was very successful in creating awareness for our community group. In addition to the 3 co-chairs we had 8 participants for software companies and end users.

Report Out

We have two primary takeaways:

1. We found that while everyone was engaged for the 70 minute session, there was a great deal time devoted to learning curves around schema.org and its applications in the Digital Asset Management space.
2. We need to make our group’s work sector and discipline independent–keeping the focus on media types for now, to promote broader thing and application of schema.org in Digital Asset Management practices.

Recommended Actions

To move towards simplifying, and making concrete our efforts, we want to recommend to the W3C Community Group that we work in smaller groups to develop User Journeys for three of the use cases we all have identified and ask that you all work on at least one of them between the June and September quarterly meeting.
