Objectives
The WAI Site Task Force of EOWG ("Task Force") operates under the EOWG charter.
The objectives of the WAI Site Task Force of EOWG are to:
- redesign the WAI Web site following a user-centered design process
(UCD), to provide
- increased usability of the WAI Web site, demonstrated by usability testing
- increased use of the resources on the WAI Web site due to better usability
- provide documentation of the re-design process for:
- review by EOWG, and approval of EOWG
- availability to the public, W3C Members, and W3C Staff
Communication
WAI Site Task Force of EOWG communications are publicly visible. Communication mechanisms for the Task Force include:
- WAI Site Task Force of EOWG mailing list <public-wai-eo-site@w3.org> and archives
- weekly Task Force teleconferences
- monthly Task Force work in EOWG teleconferences
- WAI Web Site Redesign Project Web page
Participation
Task Force participants must be participants in good standing of the EOWG, should have experience with UCD or EOWG, and must actively contribute to the work of the Task Force, including:
- minimum 2 hours per week of Task Force work
- remain current on the Task Force mailing list and respond in a timely manner to postings on Task Force mailing list
- participate in Task Force telephone meetings, or send regrets to the Task Force list
- assist in preparing Task Force deliverables for discussion

The Task Force facilitator is Shawn Henry, the W3C Team contact for EOWG.
