W3C Libwww Review - slide "Who use it?"

Internally in W3T, of course amaya
We have used it for directing HTTP design and optimizations:
- Significant impact in design of HTTP/1.1 - used to fight off lots of arguments
- Sigcomm '97 on HTTP/1.1 performance
- Study on compression
- W3C Note on how to avoid lost update problem
- Implementation of Protocols as (nested) state machines
- DNS multihomed host optimizations
Externally is as always hard to tell but I know of several commercial products
Possibility that gnome and mozilla folks will use parts of it. In particular, the proposed arch for netlib looks like early version of libwww
