parsetree() has $prevdata = &ent($prevdata); $prevdata =~ s/\s+/ /go; $tree .= wrap(' ' x $indent, ' ' x $indent, $prevdata) . "\n"; This can't work, wrap will split inside character references as generated by ent () which then may be split into pieces ala ...& #34;... As a result, the output document is illformed XML.
Fixed in HEAD, rev 1.359.
