Often I want to check a number of pages so it would be good to have a batch check option. Basically a 
text area that you can paste in multiple pages, rather than having to do each page individually.

Probably won't be added any time soon. In the meantime, interfacing to the validator is possible and 
tools such as the Log Validator  - http://www.w3.org/QA/Tools/LogValidator/ provide batch validation.
