When you validate a file wich have few lines (in my case, 30 lines), the Doc- Type definition aren't recognized by the engine and setted as "unknow". Is it really bug? Sorry if it isn't...
The report, as it is, is too vague and incomplete for us to analyse it. Are you sure you are talking about the *CSS* validator? Do you have the address of a document that shows this behaviour?
Sorry for the wrong report. I selected a incorrect option. I was realizing the error occurs because the file size, but it's not true.. The error, and I think it is an error, is the validator doesn't get the doctype when uploading files.
Our standard test case for File Upload indicate that the Markup Validator does correctly detect the DOCTYPE of uploaded files. Can you attach a file that demonstrates the Markup Validator failing to correctly detect the DOCTYPE? Also, it would be helpfull if you could describe in more detail your operating system, your browser, and how to reproduce the problem.
