When validating a web (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lehmbergconsultores.es%2F%3Fdo%3Dcontacta&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0) validation of
Tag fails: -- ERROR MESSAGE -- Line Y, Column X: document type does not allow element "ADDRESS" here; missing one of "APPLET", "OBJECT", "MAP", "IFRAME", "BUTTON" start-tag. The mentioned element is not allowed to appear in the context in which you've placed it; the other mentioned elements are the only ones that are both allowed there and can contain the element mentioned. This might mean that you need a containing element, or possibly that you've forgotten to close a previous element. One possible cause for this message is that you have attempted to put a block-level element (such as "
" or "
") inside an inline element (such as "", "", or ""). -- END OF ERROR MESSAGE -- And this is a valid tag in HTML 4.01 Transitional: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_address.asp And a discussion about this: http://alastairc.ac/2006/12/depricate-the-address-element/
Noone said the address tag was invalid, just that it was not allowed *here*. Reading the error message explanation will point out that you can't have a block element (address) in an inline element (a).
