The Markup Validation Service is unable to detect my page I keep trying to validate (and make sure it's valid). This is the following error: 500 Can't connect to moddedextensions.awardspace.com:80 (Bad hostname 'moddedextensions.awardspace.com') I know I didn't touch anything DNS-related since it's a free web hosting website and requires either subdomains or your own domain (but I don't have my own domain). Sorry if this is actually a support question!
Could you try again? It works for me. Try http://128.30.52.13/ in particular.
It showed some error about URL Scheming. Here's the error returned: "Sorry, this type of URL scheme () is not supported by this service. Please check that you entered the URL correctly. URLs should be in the form: http://validator.w3.org/ If you entered a valid URL using a scheme that we should support, please let us know as outlined on our Feedback page. Make sure to include the specific URL you would like us to support, and if possible provide a reference to the relevant standards document describing the URL scheme in question. Remember that you can always save the page to disk and Validate it using the File Upload interface."
Oh, I forgot to mention this part: In case you didn't read this part of the error, the URL I'm having problems with is moddedextensions.awardspace.com
moddedextensions.awardspace.com is not a URL, you have to specify the scheme, like http://moddedextensions.awardspace.com/
I was trying to use a URL like http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://moddedextensions.awardspace.com/ and gave me the error listed when in my first message.
The Validator would then recommend to use http://www.squish.net/dnscheck/ to see what's wrong. Doing that I get the following results: 25.0% of queries will end in failure at 70.86.252.176 (ns2.awardspace.com) - connection refused 25.0% of queries will end in failure at 70.86.228.164 (ns4.awardspace.com) - connection refused You'll have to contact awardspace.com to resolve this problem then.
OK thanks Björn!
