suggest in implicit table: "no role" [http://www.w3.org/html/wg/drafts/html/master/dom.html#concept-role-none] for implementation, with no restrictions on author applied roles (for now)




wait to see what implementation looks like.

I think "no role" is correct. It's the "img" element you want to expose as an image. The <picture> is like a <span>.
