Well, of course, there may be other things wrong with my code but going from 60+ errors (and having made changes to attempt to eradicate some, if not all) to 16417 of them for 4 occurrences of &html; seems a bit much. Isn't … valid?

The page given currently causes 5 Errors, 4 warning(s) to be issued, none of which seems to be related to …. Perhaps there was some odd intermittent error in the validator. At present, this bug report falls into the category “no bug” or “not reproducible”.
