This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
The WG decided in the teleconference on the 2013-03-26 that we should add a error code for "implementation-defined limit exceeded". This relates to the test suite bug #19579 The error code should be added in the section 2.3.1 of the specification where it states: In addition to the errors defined in this specification, an implementation may raise a dynamic error for a reason beyond the scope of this specification. For example, limitations may exist on the maximum numbers or sizes of various objects. An error must be raised if such a limitation is exceeded. (But without editorial carte blanche to go through the spec adding the same thing elsewhere.)
I am putting this on my work list. No further Working Group discussion is needed.
I have assigned XPDY0130 for this purpose.
