Description Ian 'Hixie' Hickson 2012-10-31 18:52:30 UTC
Let me know what I should do to update:

http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/#content-type-sniffing

...and then reassign this to me. Thanks!

You should now refer directly to the "actual media type" (or whatever it turns out to be after bug 19797).
Comment 2 Gordon P. Hemsley 2012-11-01 17:24:25 UTC
It is now "sniffed media type".

But I should note:
As defined, "sniffed media type" refers to the "media type sniffing algorithm". Depending on how you interpret that, it may or may not refer to the sub-algorithms. (Although, since the sub-algorithms refer to "sniffed media type" [as of now], this could be used as evidence that the sub-algorithms are part of the main algorithm.)

Feel free to file more bugs if there's more I need to do!
