in step 9.2.3 "Determine the hypothetical main size of each item", 'auto' should be treated as 'max-content'

"available space" within flexbox is not really what is available to each item, unless it is a single-item row-direction flexbox. Clipping to that seems random, it loses valuable sizing information.
