It is necessary to solve a problem with cyrillic domains. Now they aren't checked. For example, at attempt to check up validation "ïðåçèäåíò.ðô": ----- I got the following unexpected response when trying to retrieve <http://%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B7%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BD%D1%82.%D1%80%D1%84>: 500 Can't connect to президент.рф:80 (Bad hostname 'президент.рф') If you made recent changes to your domain name (DNS) configuration, you may also want to check that your domain records are correct, or ask your hosting company to do so. ----- This exact the same sites. Now they should be moved on usual domain names, to check through validator.w3.org and to return back. Inconveniently.
So what? This problem will be solved?
Limited support for IRIs was added in validator version 1.2. http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fпрезидент.рф
(In reply to comment #2) > http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fпрезидент.рф Bah, Bugzilla seems to have an idea of its own about the URL I tried to post, the above one got corrupted by it and won't work.
