This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
Especially until SSL (http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=77) gets supported, people will often get to " Sorry, this type of URI scheme (https) is not supported by this service... ". My suggestion is to a) Please add a hint to the "save locally and use the File Upload" approach b) How about also hyper-linking into the todo-list or other discussion on the topic? Was discussed in http://www.w3.org/2002/02/mid/3DF4C497.3090705@gmx.ch;list=www-validator
Probably won't make it into 0.6.2, but setting target there regardless in case someone has time to look at this. The fix is trivial (editorial/documentation update). Anyone up for adopting this bug?
Added minimal note that you can save the file and validate by file upload and add link to Bug #77 to allow people to track the progress of SSL/TLS support.
