Kaz: typo is fixed

Daniel: one more small typo around "explaination"

Kaz: fixed

Minutes review from August 28th

<egekorkan> Aug-28

Ege: any remarks?
… Approved

Editorial PRs

PR for dark mode

<kaz> Registry PR 32 - refactor: provide 2 assertion colors depending on dark/light mode

Daniel: we should propagate this change to the other documents

Ege: is it OK to merge?

Daniel: this should be done in the official template

Kaz: please send a bug report to the respec people

Ege: reviews the respec repo, not obvious how to fix

PR #35, fix Prettier problem

<kaz> Registry PR 35 - Fix Prettier Problem

<kaz> Registry Issue 34 - Prettier Action not working

Ege: we tested and looks good

Daniel: it looks like the same error is in the TD repo

<dape> https://github.com/w3c/wot-thing-description/actions/runs/17611645928/job/50034798914?pr=2107

Daniel: the prettier selection fails here also

Ege: It used to fail on forks
… the fix is to check for a fork and handle it differently

Daniel: I will try the same fix in the TD repo

(merged)

PR # 37, remove "X" from binding terminology

<kaz> Registry PR 37 - Removing Usage of X from Terminology

Ege: (reviews diff)

Ege: will review the respec and merge if everything is OK
… any objections?
… no objections, will do after the call

Static documents for publication

Issue #36

Ege: we agreed on the short name

<kaz> Registry Issue 36 - Creating Static Documents for Publication

Ege: any objections?

Daniel: wondering about use of "DRY"

Ege: it's automatically added
… it is a bit weird but didn't want to change it

Ege: It's referred to in the W3C process document

Ege: also, Candidate Registry is "CRY"

Issue #2132 in the TD repository

<kaz> TD Issue 2132 - Creating Static Files for TD 2.0 FPWD Publication

Ege: we also agreed on the short name, following the same pattern as before

Ege: any remarks?

Ege: no objections noted, approved

Binding Templates Issue #440, retire the document

<kaz> Binding Issue 430 - OPC UA Binding Document Feedback w.r.t. contentType

Ege: any objections?
… no objections noted, approved

Document alignment

PR #2129

<kaz> TD PR 2129 - Add categorization for TD-related Architecture assertions 19 to 27

Ege: (reviews the process for categorization)

Ege: (reviews each assertion)
… The assertion about caching hypermedia controls needs some explanation
… it only makes sense in the context of a dynamic TD that changes a lot
… propose that we discard this one

Toumura: there is a way to track whether a TD has changed, using a modified attribute

Ege: we need to specify a time period for validity (staleness)
… a ttl (time to live) is needed

Ege: maybe this belongs in the discovery spec also
… any discussion?
… (added comment)
… (continues review of assertion labels)

Ege: any other comments on this PR?
… no comments, update the comment to indicate approval

HTTP binding

PR #435

<kaz> Binding PR 435 - Moving http binding related content from td spec

Ege: the main change is htv namespace added to the JSON-LD context

Daniel: how does the change impact implementation?

Ege: it should only impact implementations that don't use JSON-LD
… those that convert the TD to triples
… there could be a collision if there is a different namespace in the body of the document
… any other remarks?
… no remarks

Reusable connection

<kaz> Reusable or Initial Connections

Ege: there could be some confusion due to the naming
… too specific about the concept of connection, it implies there is a connection pool required
… it is not meant to specify connection requirement
… we propose to rename the frature to "Common Definitions"
… any discussion?

Daniel: It makes the concept clearer

Kaz: we should be careful about how to explain the network connection feature

Ege: we need to give guidance to implementers
… will create an issue to address this

AOB?

Ege: we're out of time, any other business?

Daniel: to confirm, calls for September 17th and 18th are cancelled?

Ege: yes, September 17th and 18th TD calls are cancelled

Ege: adjourned
