Review of open actions

2024-10-01-e: SP to review ixml tests and correct the grammar

[Done]

2025-04-15-a: NW to try to clarify “parse tree” in the specification in a way that is satisfactory to everyone

This is dependent on 2025-08-19-a

2025-08-19-b: SP to remove S06 from the specification.

Steven: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-ixml/2025Aug/0005.html covers this
… all similar errors to be removed

2025-08-19-c: BTW to attempt to rewrite #19 so that it's clearer.

[Done]

2025-08-19-d: SP to add the modularization paper to the Invisible XML repository

<norm> https://github.com/invisibleXML/ixml/issues

<norm> invisibleXML/ixml

Norm: That's the one

2025-08-19-e: SP to assemble a discussion document for the conference.

[Done]

Status reports

[None]

New open issues

John: Please read and see what you think
… for partial parses on a document that has already been through ixml

Bethan: Since this isn't a proposal, can we put it off

John: OK

Review of BTW’s reformulation of #19

<norm> https://github.com/invisibleXML/ixml/blob/master/proposals/pragma_req.md

Steven: Looks OK

All: Agree

[Bethan disappears]

[Bethan reappears]

Steven: Next meeting move ahead on pragmas

Bethan: Now we can move to proposal for pragmas

ixml Symposium

Norm: We need to have some criteria for accepting.

<norm> FYI: https://www.w3.org/policies/code-of-conduct/

Bethan: We need a code of conduct, are we required to use W3C's code?

David: If it is sponsored by the CG, it is W3C; other option is the 6 of us to sponsor the symposium

Norm: I can confirm we are required to use the W3C one

Nico: It is very clear

ACTION: Steven to ask W3C if there are any particulars about a CG meeting

Norm: It would be my preference to do it from the CG

[Discussion about which Zoom licence to use]

Steven: We agree to allow audience as well as presenters.

Bethan: If we get too many submissions, then we should select, so we shouldn't guarantee acceptance.
… I want to propose we have a rule about presentations around LLMs that the LLM being used doesn't use non-consented content.

Norm: I'd like to do the text manipulation offline
… Would we allow people to refuse to be recorded?

David: I think it reasonable to keep presentations for the sake of the symposium

Bethan: I think insisting on recordings might have a chilling effect for some people.
… we should allow people afterwards to decide

Norm: More work

Nico: Who will edit the recordings?

Bethan: I will

Norm: Then we can allow people to review it in that case

Steven: Dates? Th/Fr 26/27 Feb?

All: Looks good

Steven: Time?

John: I propose an hour later

Norm: Makes sense

Steven: So resolved

Steven: Web page on invisiblexml.org; we would need to make a registration page.

Modularisation

John: I have a demo

[Demo of modularisation]

Next meeting

Steven: 30th September, John scribing

[ADJOURN]
