Meeting minutes

Schedule

Ege: would check the availability of Jan and Luca as well for summer vacation

Agenda

Ege: (goes through the agenda for today)

agenda for today

Publication schedule

Ege: we should discuss concrete schedule for publication today
… (shows the wg-schedule.md)

wg-schedule.md

TD 2.0

Ege: the current WoT WG Charter ends on Oct 2
… note I'll take off on 14-22 Sep
… let's add some edit to wg-schedule.md
… would suggest we aim for Sep 11 for TD 2.0 FPWD

Kaz: as a starting point, september 11th is ok

<kaz> Milestone calculator

Kaz: but please take a look at the milestone calculator as well
… to know the shortest publication date

Ege: ok
… any other opinions?

Koster: no
… looks ok

Ege: (plays with the Milestones Calculator for a while)

Kaz: if you want, you can add one line for the transition request right before the publication

Ege: ok

Kaz: regarding the latter publications, e.g., CR, PR and REC, we should be able to assume the WoT WG will be Chartered every time :)

(because "Out of Charter" is not allowed)

Ege: how to deal with those latter dates?

Kaz: my suggestion is putting the earliest dates since "March 13" is not earlier than today :)

Koster: right
… let's put the dates generated by the Milestones Calculator as the starting point

Kaz: +1

Ege: we should be aware of th group CfC as well

Kaz: right
… so would suggest we put that kind of additional information as well on wg-schedule.md

Ege: we should be realistic here
… the calculator suggests we make our CfC on Saturday, Sep 6

Kaz: in that case, we should aim for Wed, Sep 3

Ege: (continues to work on the publication dates as well as the transition request days)
… btw, we don't need any group CfC. right?

Kaz: right. REC transition is handled based on the AC Review results

Ege: how to organize the transition request, btw?

Kaz: as you know :) the transitions requests are handled as GitHub Issues on the transition repo

transitions repo

Ege: ok
… we need to finalize the publication draft before the CfC

Kaz: yeah

Ege: let's aim for August 28 for doc freeze
… we can still add some minor editorial changes, though

Kaz: yeah

Ege: what do you think of the updated draft schedule?

Kaz: looks good as an initial starting point

Bindings Registry

Ege: (moves to the Bindings Registry now)

Ege: the Milestones Calculator is not really applicable to the Registries. Right?

Kaz: ah, good question...
… but there is a basic analogy between Registries and REC Track docs
… so we can still use the Calculator to get a high-level estimation

Ege: ok
… looks good to me as an initial estimation :)

Kaz: tx!
… much much nicer than March 13 ;)

Koster: looks good for now

Ege: ok
… let's make a PR

Binding

PR 428

Binding PR 428 - fix: model BACnet relinquish explicitly

Ege: can show the diff
… (shows the diffs)

diffs

Ege: (changes within TTL, JSON and HTML)

Preview

Kaz: this is a bug fix. right?

Ege: adding some features also

Kaz: so fixing bug and adding some features

Ege: yes

Koster: this is a missing functionality from BACnet

Ege: right

(merged)

TD

PR 2118

PR 2118 - Binding Intro Reorganization

diff

Ege: many diffs
… (shows preview instead)

Preview - 8. Bindings

Ege: please shows the diff within the PR itself too

diffs

Ege: getting out of time. so let's close the call for today
