ACTION: Erik to report evaluating vars in model
ACTION: Erik to report evaluating vars in model
https://
Steven: So I understand that vars are evaluated in the body at a refresh amd in the model immediately before rebuild, recalculate, and refresh
… you also say "there is no dependency system mandated"
Erik: The order is vars first and then binds
Erik: The assumption is you evaluate in textual order.
Steven: So you have to write vars in the order of dependencies.
Erik: What is the alternative?
Steven: Well we do that for calculates
Erik: I don't think calculate orders on var references
… we don't require it
… I wonder if there are other types of dependencies.
… it has the benefit of simplicity
… if we use textual ordering.
Alain: Surely it is easier for users if vars are evaluated in dependency order, so it can be done in the same way for vars in the model. Not a problem for the implementor.
… everything is a node in XSLTForms
… it is better if it is textually ordered.
Erik: I am fine if we define it to be done in textual order.
Steven: I propose adding a note asking for user feedback.
ACTION: Steven to add var evaluation to the model
AOB
Steven: Regrets for next week
