Discuss Community Group Membership (http://www.w3.org/community/global-inclusion/join)

scribe+ Jan

John: Who can join? Who should we recruit?

Lisa: anyone can join - you don't have to be a W3C member. You will have to make an account, but anyone can join

<kirkwood> you need to make an account. dont need to be a member or invited expert, great

Lisa: You don't have to be an invited expert or a member. It can just be people who are interested in part of the work.

<kirkwood> people interested in clear design outside of English

<lisa> agendas todo: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1d8xlgIFACgtjDM3u9SOrofuAjocWzN1i3VzM_G8iM-s/edit

Lisa: we would like to have people who are fluent in languages other than English. The internationalization group also wants us to recruit people with a linguistics background.
... Reviewing a Google doc where we can capture to-do's.
... The community group has a mailing list and an IRC channel.

<lisa> https://www.w3.org/community/global-inclusion/

Lisa: This is the link that has an overview of the community group

<kirkwood> ACCESSIBILITY INTERNATIONALIZATION COMMUNITY GROUP page

Lisa: The group is a collaboration of COGA, AG, and Internationalization - all three groups need to work on recruiting
... We now have a mailing list that we can use to send out a survey: public-global-inclusion@w3.org
... Lisa has a spreadsheet template that she uses for surveying times that people might be available.

<lisa> template for call is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12RwLzTomMxD1r5ooU06l4SKtU59XKA48mEUhlXbvAOE/edit#gid=0

Review Community Group Description (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SgfzQMEd0MYydz6WoPBbuxx5CewjiUc5bsuu592uurI/edit?usp=sharing)

Jan: Let's take 5 minutes to review the document

<julierawe> In the Mission section, Addison seems to prefer we list "Internationalization Working Group" and here is the link for that group: https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/i18n-core/
