Agenda Review & Announcements
<matatk> Welcome, giacomo-petri! *group introductions*
<matatk> janina: Next week is TPAC, so this call isn't happening.
<matatk> ... Customarily, we (APA, and usually the task forces), will not meet in the week following TPAC. So no APA call for the next two weeks. Check with your TFs about the week of the 18th.
<matatk> ... Our next APA WG call will be the 27th—of course a lot of stuff going on next week!

matatk: All info on TPAC is on the wiki page.
matatk: Tuesday, Thursday are most busy. Friday a little, but the rest are rather open.
matatk: I've put links to our calednar entries at the bottom of the wiki page. Most, all of you in fact, should be automatically subscribed to those calendar entries because of your memebership in APA.

Rendering of <input type=image> that does not represent an image
<Roy> - issue: whatwg/
<Roy> - tracked at: w3c/
<Roy> https://
matatk: We'll review this in more detail on Monday; we checked out the process to identify who gets notified and by what.
Roy: The WHATWG a11y team was mentioned, whcih includes people from ARIA WG.
CSS Update (Paul) https://github.com/w3c/css-a11y/issues
PaulG: Lots of API discussion this week; nothing accessibility-sepcifc.
https://
PaulG: View transitions is mostly about animation. If the entire page is transitioning, then that's a necessary part of the application. It doesn't affect the accessibility tree.
… Anchor positioning: Relates to layout. Trying to make various aspects of the language more consistent.
… These are primarily about developer experience.
… Will review further before the meeting.

Task Force & Deliverables Updates
Adapt
janina: We've been working on a handout for conferences (e.g. TPAC) to demonstrate the concept of symbols, and different symbol sets, to people.
… One symbol set will be Bliss, and one ARASAAC. This will demonstrate the need for support for multiple symbol sets.
… The work we're doing acts as a Rosetta stone.
… This allows people to receive symbols in the symbol set they know. This has been a great success in communication (i.e. AAC).
… Now we're bringing it to web content!
Pronunciation
janina: We will be asking people from big organisations for feedback on the AT Vendors survey.
RQTF
janina: Great work being done on CTUAR
janina: We have added AI tools into CTAUR
janina: This raises opportunities, and challenges.
janina: Check out the minutes from today's RQTF (the previous hour).
