Meeting minutes
Infoshare and coordination checks
<Zakim> matatk, you wanted to ask for an agendum on citing WAI guidelines generally
<janina> https://
janina: Please vote on the APA re-charter
janina: One person asked for a change, which we intend to accommodate
MichaelC: APA's re-charter is open until the June 20th. It would be good (but not mandatory) to get more votes.
<jamesn> is there a link to the charter?

Switching to zakim commands
MichaelC: Trackbot is being retired. Some people are still using it, e.g. to start meetings.
… You may want to remind your groups to switch to 'zakim, start meeting'
janina: I like the 'zakim, end meeting' command; helps run needed cleanup (e.g. attendees list) in addition to making the minutes for you.
GeorgeK: Is there a link to Zakim docs?
Exploration on project reviews
MichaelC: Mini project reviews would be ~10min presentations in which we go into enough depth that people have an understanding of what the work is, the use cases, and relation to the work we're all doing.
… Would something like this be of interest?
matatk: Would like to know what's being done elsewhere boilerplate
matatk: Would be useful
<MichaelC> Interest in adding project reviews to WAI CC
+1
<MichaelC> -1, 0, +1
+1
<Lionel> +1
<jamesn> 0
<kakinney> 0 - joined late so i won't vote
<tzviya> +1
MichaelC: I'll put together a more solid plan for how this would work.
MichaelC: Are there other ways of keeping ourselves well-coordinated that come to the top of people's minds?
Project check-ins
MichaelC: No news this week (working on it in the background). Anyone with anything to add?
Citing WAI resources
Thanks Shawn for this info: https://
matatk: Background: Good contact with other groups like adding A11y Considerations sections to their docs
matatk: Even had groups that didn't think they had an a11y impact, but our interaction helped them to understand they did, and how a AC section could help
matatk: helpful to link to guidelines when we can that are pertinent
. Rather not just link to overview--great, but not as much impact
. importantly doesn't appear in references at bottom of the document
. Could we have a respec id, whatever that is, so that the AC could be citable?
MichaelC: Yes, possible to do in respec
MichaelC: And it needn't be a TR doc
MichaelC: How we want it to look, i.e. what's the common pattern?
<Zakim> MichaelC, you wanted to answer the technical part
<MichaelC> respec localbiblio
matatk: We had a suboptimal example where WCAG in general was cited, but could have had better #offset href
tzviya: asks whether citations or boilterplate
Here's the page we're thinking would be good to make into a citation: https://
<Zakim> MichaelC, you wanted to ask about citable resources
MichaelC: An editorial question, I normally think of an academic citation; some of our support resources straddle the line between citation and href
shawn: Great this has come up, would like to look at the specific case
shawn: Happy to help resolve referencability
<tzviya> +1 to updating specref
jamesn: Think we shouldn't use local biblio, rather get specref updated correctly
<MichaelC> Specref
<tzviya> https://
jamesn: Notes current default wcag points to 1.0, so needs better referencing
matatk: Will follow up with Shawn
matatk: Agree on academic, but helping raise awareness is useful, too
<jamesn> https://
matatk: Agree on specref
<Zakim> MichaelC, you wanted to say specref update we should qa
<Lionel> +1 to James idea, of pointing to more current versions
MichaelC: spec ref should not contain everything either
MichaelC: local biblio first, in my general approach
MichaelC: We could create a pr for spec ref
MichaelC: meanwhile a local biblio--but don't forget to migrate away!
jamesn: people tend not to change once it's working
ACTION: Matthew and Shawn to conferon a solution for referencing
