Meeting minutes

Regrets

McCool: Lagally or Toumura-san can't make the Testfest this week unfortunately
… so should concentrate on TD and Discovery

Minutes

McCool: let's review the minutes next week

Logistics

2022.07.Online page

McCool: have updated the logistics page
… should add the CSV template as well
… (add minor edits to remove extra parts)
… anything to be added?

(none)

PRs

remaining PRs

PR 369

PR 369 - Add July discovery files

McCool: Farshid made this PR
… let's merge this

(merged)

PR 366

PR 366 - Create manual.csv snapshots for 2022.07 Testfest

McCool: updated manual.csv

(merged)

PR 366

PR 363 - Adapting manual.csv

Ege: (explains the changes)
… added security things
… "td-arrays_scopes", etc., are removed

McCool: not for manual tests but for the automatic test?

Ege: yeah, or even not needed to be checked

McCool: should clarify what it means
… if you could fix your tool to read the manual.csv first and then process the automatic results, would be nice

Ege: good point
… will look into it
… manual.csv is more important. right?

McCool: should discuss that

Ege: could have that discussion to see the expected behavior

McCool: would be better if the tool could identify that

Kaz: kind of confused
… this PR includes two portions
… one for the template for the manul.csv
… and actual example CSV for Ditto

Ege: yeah

Kaz: in that case, we should have split the PR into two pieces
… one for the template, and another for the actual results

McCool: would merge this PR itself

Kaz: merging this PR itself is fine
… but for the next time, we should have two separate PRs
… one for the template and another for the results
… and also we should describe why "td-arrays_scopes", etc., could be removed, i.e., could be tested by the automatic tests within the logistics page

McCool: will add notes on that

Daniel: implementers can/should provide their results based on the new template. right?

McCool: yes
… currently, we have snapshot version of the manual.csv files

snapshot version of the manual.csv files at 2022.07.Online

McCool: Architecture_manual.csv, etc.

Ege: complicated...

ek updated template for TD available

updated TD_manual.csv

Kaz: in that case, we should update the "TD_manual.csv"?

McCool: (adds comments about that)
… related to the PR

(closed without being merged)

PR 362

PR 362 - Update TinyIoT Thing Directory reports

McCool: updating the old results at this moment is confusing
… so would leave this open

Kaz: if it's still working, can we include it into the results of this Testfest

McCool: would get clarification from Farshid

(not merged)

PR 367

PR 367 - Added TM examples showing tm:optional usage in scope of Ditto/TMs

McCool: let's merge this

(merged)

McCool: data/input_2022/TD/batchValidation.sh has been updated

batchValidation.sh

PR 349

PR 349 - Add TMs and manual.csv for sdf-wot-converter

McCool: Philipp is not here...
… but let's merge this to get maximum coverage
… however, need to change the location to data/input_2022
… will merge this PR right after the change
… (put comments)
… (add another Note)
… some more fixes can be also added

PR 368

PR 368 - add additional Eclipse Ditto generated TDs with security scheme oauth2

(merged)

PR 370

PR 370 - Update Ditto.csv

Ege: just updated

(merged)

Issues

Issue 358

Issue 358 - TM testing

McCool: can close this?

Cristiano: yes

(closed)

Issue 329

Issue 329 - Clarify Expectations for Implementers

McCool: close this after Fady's review

Issue 327

Issue 327 - Missing TD Features

Ege: can close this

(closed)

Issue 321

Issue 321 - [TD] Missing manual.csv contributions

McCool: old one?

Ege: but still need to check

McCool: let's keetp this then

Kaz: in that case, we should update the title

McCool: ok

Ege: still need feedback from Fady, etc.

McCool: let's look into the current status

Ege: ECLASS is already there

McCool: flask-tum not yet
… ECLASS done
… Fujitsu not yet
… Hitachi done
… manual TM by TUM not yet
… WebThings not yet
… Logilab done

McCool: missing results from some more group participants
… let me rerun the tool to update the results again
… should create another issue to see if those results need updated

Kaz: separate issue for each implementer?

McCool: could generate a checklist including all the results
… Ege, can you work on that?

Ege: need people's input. right?
… let's wait

McCool: ok

Other old issues

McCool: (checks 2022_03 and 2022_06)
… (and then 2021)
… (Plugfest Followup)

AOB?

Kaz: would suggest we quickly skim the updated README.md so that we can ask all the implementers to provide updated results based on the document

2022.07.Online/README.md

McCool: (quickly skims it)
… if anything missing, please let me know

Ege: corner cases from my side

Cristiano: will provide my results

McCool: new directory?

Cristiano: yeah, completely new one from scratch
… discovery capability for node-wot as well
… as part of the Scripting API

McCool: anybody else?

Daniel: wondering how much compatible node-wot can be with the WoT Profile spec

McCool: if we have automatic test for Profile, we should do that
… good way to get the test
… but maybe we should focus on the manual test this time given Lagally is not around

Sebastian: action query within Profile, etc.
… have never seen implementations for it
… maybe we should postpone the test for Profile

McCool: yeah, I hear you
… pragmatic thing we can do is simply deferring the test for Profile

<Zakim> Ege, you wanted to discuss aob part

Ege: wondering about the potential dependency...

McCool: we didn't get review for Architecture or Security
… need to figure out how to deal with that
